Clothes for wounded soldiers

Church puts clothes on soldiers' backs

FREDERICK -- Ever struggled to keep a little dignity while navigating in an open-backed hospital gown?

For wounded troops who spend months regaining their strength and independence, a local church group hopes comfortable T-shirt and sweat pants will make a world of difference.

Members of Gathered by Christ Episcopal Church in Buckeystown and The Order of the Daughters of the King created the Wounded Soldiers Project this summer to organize an ongoing collection of clothes to send to the 28th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq.
